Brief Description Engraving of a view looking west described wrongly as being from the steeple of the Parish Church. It shows the buildings either side of Newmarket Street, Falkirk Fire Station, Scott's Stables, Gentleman's Fountain and the West Church.

Subject Notes To the south, the gable end on to Newmarket Street marks the foot of Lint Riggs. The chimney and surrounding buildings are Aitken's Brewery. To the north of Newmarket Street is the north yard of the brewery with the counting house, general office, bottling stores and cooperage.
