Subject Notes
|
The Cromwell stair post-dates by many decades his invasion of Scotland. The trompe l'oeil was painted in the style of the Dutch artist Philip Tideman. It was repainted by William F Kay of Fife in 1997. Both the stair and the tromp l'oeil are probably later than previously thought.
