Object detail

Administrative History
Scottish Sporting Car Club is one of Scotland's longest established motor sport clubs and organises a variety of motor sport events. It was involved in the running of the Bo'ness Hill Climb from 1934 to 1936 in conjunction with Bo'ness Town Council and West Lothian Motor Cycle Club. From 1937 to 1939 and 1946 to 1954 it was responsible for running the event itself with the permission and assistance of Bo'ness Town Council. Interest had been waning for a few years prior to 1954. In 1958 the event was started again by Lothian car Club and continued until 1966.

The still SCCC continues to organise motor sporting events throughout Scotland.
