Administrative History
Harrower, Welsh & Co Ltd were timber merchants, pitwood importers, shipping agents and stevedores. The company was formed as a partnership between William Welsh and David Keddie Harrower in 1904. After William's death the company continued as Harrower family business. it became a limited company in 1951 and went into liquidation in 1962. The assets were bought by a surviving member of the Harrower family. The company was based at 3 Register St, Bo'ness and had a homewood mill near Stanley, Perthshire.
