Description
Pink taffeta evening dress with blue taffeta contrast. The evening dress is sleeveless, it has two narrow shoulder straps. The front neckline forms a shallow V shape, the back is straight. There is a deep pleated facing on the bodice front and a formal bow of blue taffeta at the centre front with ribbons going under each arm and stitching into the centre back waist seam. the bodice is very fitted. The skirt is stitched onto the bodice at the waist, it is panelled and flared. The centre front panel is of blue taffeta and the skirt is full length. There is a large bow on the centre back seam in blue taffeta about mid-calf position with broad blue ribbons which stitch onto the side panel seams. The dress was made at home by the donor.
