Description
Green and white stripped nylon drop waist dress was one of the first nylon dresses.The dress has a wide round neckline with a roll collar attached. it is sleeveless. The bodice had a c/f seam and two bust shaping seams. The bodice back is plain with a c/b seam. There is a zip on the left side seam from under the arm to the droped waist level. The waist seam which is just above the hop had a stand up facing attached and a bow with a long ribbon at the left side seam. The skirt is gathered into the waist seam and is very full. The dress is lined in white synthetic fabric and the slant has a second lining. According to the donor it was bought at Richard Shops early 1950's and "packed like a dream".
