Late 1800-Early 20th Century
Black silk mourning bodice for a suit. The bodice has a round neck trimmed with silk crepe. It opens down the c/f with three hook and eyes. There is a decorative lace panel on each front panel and back panel. The sleeves are 'leg of mutton' inshape with a decorative lace panel. They are trimmed with a silk ribbon and crepe gripping at the wrist. The bodice is flared and below hip level in length.
