Late 19th Century-Early 20th Century
White cotton nightgown with a low V shaped neckline trimmed with Brodierie Anglaise lace. There is an embroidered butterfly on both front panels with a bust dart below it to the waist. The bodice is gathered at the waistband which is just above the natural waist level and is of Broderie Anglaise. The nightgown fastens down the c/f from neck to hip with a button on the waistband and one below, which is missing. The bodice back is plain. The full skirt is gathered onto the waistband and it is full length. The sleeves are long wide and set in, gathered onto a Broderie Anglaise cuff with a similar frill.
