White cotton petticoat with a narrow yoke at the waist. It opens on the left side seam from the waist to below the hip level. It fastens with two buttons and button holes ( one button missing) and a drawstring at the waist. The drawstring is missing. The skirt is gathered into the yoke and is very full. The skirt has six tucks at the hem and one large pleat, which is a later addition to shorten th garment. This style of petticoat would have been worn over a crinoline cape.
