Description
Circular disc, 126mm in diameter, to commemorate the opening of the super pit at Kinneil in 1957. The obverse has an illustration of the pit head in slight relief, with the words "NCB SCOTTISH DIVISION/ KINNEIL COLLIERY" around it. The reverse has a suspension hole for wall hanging, below which is a coat of arms and the words "IN/ COMMEMORATION/ OF THE/ CONSTRUCTION/ OF/ KINNEIL COLLIERY/ MAY 1957"
