Description
Bronze coin from the East Africa Protectorate (known as British East Africa) with a bust of George VI on the obverse and a crown on the reverse. The obverse inscription reads: "GEORGIVS VI REX ET IND:IMP/ FIVE CENTS", and the reverse one: "EAST AFRICA/ 1941/ 5".
East African Shilling was the currency used in British controlled areas of East Africa from 1921-1969.
