Description
Highland and Agicultural Society of Scotland medallion awarded to Peggie Ritchie. The obverse shows Britannia seated on a pedestal with a Highlander standing to either side, one holding a sickle and wheatsheaf, the other with a plough. The inscription reads: "SEMPER ARMIS/ NUNCET INDUSTRIA". The reverse has a wreath and reads: "HIGHLAND AND AGRICULTURAL SOCIETY OF SCOTLAND/ INST. MDCCLXXIV/ MISS PEGGIE RITCHIE/ FOR/ DAIRY PRODUCE/ 1922".
It is in a black case with blue interior with gold lettering "ALEXR. KIRKWOOD & SON/ MEDALISTS/ 9 ST. James Square/ EDINBURGH/ ESTAB. 1826"
