Description
Large silver alloy medal with a bust of John Rennie on the obverse and a plan and section of Sheerness Docks on the reverse. The complex consists of two wet docks, one with three graving docks and a separate graving dock off the main channel. The medal is in a red circular card case with brass hinge and latch. The obverse reads "JOHN RENNIE"; and the reverse "BASIN AND DOCKS AT SHEERNESS BEGUN JANUARY XIX MDCCCXIV OPENED SEPTEMB. V MDCCCXXIII"
