Description
One Shilling trade token from Cattle and Barber, York. Decorated on the obverse with the city coat of arms between olive and palm branches. On the reverse is lettering and small flowers. There is a small hole in this item which was made after it was minted.

Robert Cattle began as an apprentice silversmith and later took on James barber as a partner in a goldsmiths and jewellers business on Coney St, York.
