Description
Manx halfpenny trade token. Small hole in coin. On the obverse is the triskeles in the centre with "QUOCUNQUE IECERIS STABIT" around the outside meaning - wherever you throw it, it will stand. On the reverse is "PRO BONO PUBLICO HALF PENNY TOKEN 1831"
This is a William Callister (b.1808 d.1872) token, he was a timber importer who issues these tokens. He later became a Member of the House of Keys (lower house of the Isle of Man parliament).
