Description
Trade token for use in Glasgow at Gilbert Shearer Glasgow. On the obverse is the Glasgow coat of arms and on the reverse is an image of a river god leaning on overturned urn from which water flows. This is read as being the source of the Clyde. In his hand is a shield or weapon. The Latin inscription translates as "Never dry up"
