Description
Halfpenny trade tokens for use at John White's, Leith. On the obverse is a full rigged ship under sail approaching a wharf with a look out tower and small boat. On the reverse is a female figure with a scale in her right hand and a staff in her left. She is seated on a bale. A barrel in front of her is labelled "GIN" and a bale is labelled "TEA". There is a thistle behind her.
