Description
Silver King Alexander III of Scotland penny. Decorated on obverse with bust with sceptre, beading and small cross. On the reverse is a long cross with mullets in angles and beading. Coins of this type produced from 1280 until after Alexander's death perhaps until 1290's. Possibly struck at Perth.
