Description
Two copper alloy cylinders made to contain items such as coins, newspapers and church records of the Blackbraes and Shieldhill Parish Church (see CH3/796/11). The cylinders are made from a single sheet that has been rolled and the ends folded over and soldered. Discs have been made for the ends and hammered over and soldered. The smaller cylinder has "D.ARNOT/ MAKER/ FALKIRK" stamped upon it.
