The field, part of the South Bantaskine Estate, slopes down to the Union Canal. In the middle distance is Tamfourhill Farm and the chimneys beyond it belong to Scottish Tar Distillers on the Forth and Clyde Canal. The smoke to the east is from Bonnybridge Power Station.
