Description
Irish reul coin, worth 6d in pre-decimal Irish money worth 1/40 of a pound or half a shilling. The Irish name reul is derived from the Spanish real. Circular coin with a harp on the obverse and a wolfhound on the reverse. Embossed on the reverse is "REUL" and on the obverse is "EIRE 1942".
