pipe; tobacco
Description
Complete clay tobacco pipe bowl with pointed spur. The bowl is embossed above the stem with a shield-shaped panel (similar to that of Balme of Mile End in Davey 1979) containing lettering. The lettering is too slightly impressed and worn for reading "W---ES/ E----NR”. Mid 19th century.
Falkirk Pleasance.
