Description
A fifty pfennig German coin. Circular coin with an image on the obverse of a crowned coat of arms and two small stars on the reverse. Embossed on the obverse is "STADT GRAFRATH" and on the reverse is "KRIEGSGELD 1917 50 PFENNIG". Associated with Kaiser Wilhem II. This coin is an example of 'War Money' struck 1914-1919 during WW I and nearly always carries the term 'Kriegsgeld' in the legend.
