Description
Cream coloured silk satin wedding dress in two parts.
Part 1) Cream satin dress with Bodice with chiffon trims, and embroidered in cream silk and pearls. The bodice is metal boned and lined with cream coloured plain weave silk fabric. Full length sleeves (below elbow outer sleeves with full length under sleeves), a low neck line and fastens at the centre back with a nine metal hooks and eyes. The front and back of the bodice and sleeves at the elbow are decorated with cream coloured embroidery, cut work and pearls. The top of the sleeves are slightly puffed. The neckline, shoulders and centre back waist are decorated with cream coloured translucent silk which is ruche, pleated and tied in bows. A section of the same fabric is narrowly pleated and shows thought the holes in the front. Elastic sewn into bodice to close with hook and eye has "A LOLIVARD 23 RUE DE LA PAIX PARIS" printed on it.
Part 2) The skirt is a rich cream satin silk with an underskirt ( of net and lace) and chiffon frills around its width. It closes at the back with hooks and eyes. It is very badly shattering. The skirt and bodice are stored separately.
The dress was purchased in Paris.
