Description
Two hob grate front panels. The decoration has three beaded panels with a lozenge shape in the central rectangular panel and a circle in the square panels above and below. An anthemion occurs in the diamond shaped frame; flowers in the circular frames. There is flat moulding along the panel edges with reeded triangles in each corner. On the bottom of the front of the panel is "Carron" and on the other "52".
This one was show on page 100 of Owen 1977 Antique Cast Iron.
