Description
Heavily moulded blue glazed vase in the form of a moon flask with a hole in the centre. The central hole is quatrefoil in shape with ribs. The side panels are in the form of rings with beaded borders containing face masks alternating with seven-dot rosettes. Around the chamfered edge is a form of egg and dart with triangles alternating with stemmed flowers. This is repeated in a smaller version on the base. The moulded handle is in the form of a stranded rope with a collar band. The mould seam around the edge has been trimmed with a knife before glazing. The base and the neck have been moulded separately and grafted on to the body with small rosettes stamped over the smoothed seams along with some rouletting.
