Description
One cent coin from the Straits Settlements. Image on the obverse is on a bust facing left.Embossed on the obverse is "GEORGE V KING AND EMPEROR OF INDIA " and on the reverse is "STRAITS SETTLEMENTS ONE CENT 1920".

Straits settlements were a group of British territories, established in 1826 as part of the territories controlled by the British East India Company. They became a British Crown Colony in 1867 and were dissolved in 1946. Most of the territories are now part of Malaysia except Singapore which separated in 1965.
