The tramway opened in 1905. Outside the bank is a two-seater convertible car with spoked wheels. Another car sits on the cobbled road, opposite the church. St Andrew's Church of Scotland was built as the Free Church in 1894-96, later becoming the United Free and then in 1929 the Church of Scotland.
