crate

Description
Wooden crate used during the Second World War to ship lorry parts from the USA to the bus depot in Stirling Road, Larbert, where they were assembled.
Such crates were in high demand due to the shortage of wood, and many were used to build garden sheds. One enterprising man made cots from them and sold then to a local shop.
