A woman (the photographer's sister) in a spotted blouse with lace collar and ankle length skirt poses at a writing bureau with a book in front of her. The bureau contains a rubber stamp and a cup and saucer. There is pair of candle sticks on top. Behind her is a heavy Victorian sideboard and three paintings on the wall.
