Description
A group, probably two couples and a boy stand outside a country cottage. It is built of undressed stone with a slate roof. It has two storeys but the upper floor is lit only by three skylights. The front door has an entrance porch. The road in front of it is unmetalled.

The house is typical of those built in the 19th century in the West Highlands. Renting a cottage for a few weeks in the summer was popular amongst those living in the Lowlands.
