Subject notes
Note absence of Cockburn St which was opened in 1927. Tanner Brae or West Bridge Street is behind the camera. The Gentleman Fountain was erected in 1871 but removed in 1923 to ease traffic flow. The chimney belonged to Aitken's Brewery, and was demolished in June 1970. The brewery had moved from this site by 1913. The electric lamp posts were installed in association with the opening of Falkirk Power Station in 1903.
