Description
A ship rests on the slipway dressed overall in flags. Her bridge and engines are at the stern. She has twin screws and a hinged rudder. Fitting out appears well advanced with even the lifeboats fitted. She is surrounded by wooden poles which would have supported scaffolding and two simple cranes.

The flags suggest that the ship is about to be launched. There were three shipyards in Alloa: Kelliebank, Forthbank and Jeffries, one of which was managed by Grangemouth Dockyard.
