badge; scout

Description
Two sewn cloth badges with a yellow falcon on a green background.
These badges were designed to commemorate the 2nd Torwood Scout Group in 1963. The falcon was taken from the coat of arms of Sir Ian Bolton who was the troop and county leader at the time. Permission had to be sought from the Lord Lyon of Scotland for the use of the armorial device. The badges were sewn on to the back of the neckerchiefs and were only used by the scouts present in 1963.
