The Columbian Stove Works were owned by Smith and Wellstood. Opened in 1860, the Works were sited by the Forth and Clyde Canal which was used for bringing in the heavy and bulky raw materials such as coal and pig iron and for exporting stoves and ranges. Wattland Square and Bonnymuir Place can also be seen.
