Subject notes
Opened in 1900 to a design by J J Burnet, the church's name commemorated the 50th anniversary of the ordination of the Rev John McLaren in 1847. Re-named, when its status was raised in 1904, as Stenhouse Parish Church and later Stenhouse and Carron Parish Church.

Built in a rural location, it was part of a group of buildings comprising the church, the hall and the manse. Houses were later built in the vicinity.
