Letter from Helen Heugh, Gartcows, to her sister, Janet Meek, nee Heugh, Paris, who was on a Grand Tour of Europe with her new husband, George Meek; containing general news of friends and relatives and also mentioning that there is a troop of cavalry stationed in Falkirk in readiness for possible radical unrest and that some respectable inhabitants of the town had enrolled as special constables.
