Subject notes
Initially there were four canteens serving the plant. The Directors' Dining Room, Senior Staff Canteen, Junior Staff Canteen and Works' Canteen. The term 'staff' is used here to describe managers and office workers. All other workers would attend the Works' Canteen. Around the 1970s the Senior and Junior Staff Canteens closed and all personnel used the same canteen.
