Description
This used to stand c80 yds S of the House on the line of the avenue. It had a square shaft set on a stepped and moulded plinth, supporting an octagonal dial-head. One face of the shaft bore the coat-of arms of the Earl of Linlithgow along with the initials E/IL for James Livingston 5th Earl. Height 4ft 1 ins. Later copper dial by Andrew Adie removed c 1970. The other faces had hollow dials. The whereabouts of the sundial are not known.
