Sites and Monument Record: Castle Rankine Limekiln (SMR 81)
Description
Stone lined oval-shaped pit placed midway between the ditch and the N curtain wall and some 18 ft W of the barbican which was the major stone building on the site. Presumably it was used during the construction phase.
