Sites and Monument Record: Airth Castle Gateway (SMR 183)
Description
The E drive to the castle has an ornate gateway at its junction with the Main road. Four pillars are arranged in a crescent, joined by a low ballustraded wall. It was moved back from the road, c 5m, in 1996.
Late c18th, early c19th. Curved screen walls with balusters.
