Description
A mausoleum standing some distance W of Airth. It was probably built by James Club who, in his will of 29th July 1757, wished to be buried in it with his dog beyond the reach of the Resurrectionists. Built of coursed ashlar. The plan is sub-oval with an entrance on the SE, straight side. Internally it measures 12ft 8in by 9ft 6in, with walls 3ft thick. The much damaged roof was originally pyramidal, supported on a barrel vault 7ft 10 ins high at the crown.
