Description
A new church was built on Carriden Brae in 1766. T-shape in plan with galleries, finished in simple Georgian Gothic style. Tower and session house added c1850. Tower has lucarned spire. Session house to W. N wall of church has aedicule to protect monument to Sir William Maxwell of Carriden, 1771, with Ionic order and pulminated laurel freize.
