Description
2-storey corner building of later 19th century. 4-bays to South St, 3-bays to North St. Stugged ashlar with painted ground floor. Ground floor with bipartites in outer bays, 2 doors and blocked windows to central bays. Cornice above. 2 bipartites and 2 single lights in 1st floor. 2-bay elevation at junction of North and South St. 2 blind round-arched windows flank central shop window; 2 windows in 1st floor, wallhead stack. North St elevation off-centre door with consoled cornice, shop to right, 1st floor windows details as on S. Cornice continues on all elevations. Slate roof, piended to W.

3 South Street was bought by Central Regional Council in 1978 for demolition ahead of road improvements. These did not take place and in 1980 it was transferred free of charge to Falkirk District Council as part of the town centre rehabilitation project.
