Gavin Glenny was registered as paper making at Carron Grove Mill between 1825 and 1833, when the mills was bought by Robert Lusk. It burnt down in 1841 and was acquired by Robert MacRobbie in 1847. He operated it until his death in 1850 and was followed by John MacRobbie, who died in 1855.
Carrongrove was then bought by Robert Weir of Herbertshire in 1858 and sold in 1867 to John Miller.
From 1877 it traded as Carrogrove Paper Co, letterly owned by the Inveresk Group. It ceased production in November 2005.
