Description
A denarius of Trajan dating to 112-117 AD was found during gravel extraction at Bonnyfield in 1992. RIC 337, condition worn and fragmentary. See p19756-7. Obverse: [IMP CAES NER TRA]IANO OPTIMO AVG G[ER DAC]; reverse: PM TRP COS [VI PP S]PQR. Mars advancing right holding a spear [and trophy].
