Sites and Monument Record: Blackness Pier (SMR 907)

Description

The original pier was the west pier of the current arrangement. In the mid 19th century it was 68m long and stood just to the NE of the granary. In the 1970s the beach on its eastern side was reclaimed by building it up. A slipway was then added forming an eastern pier.
