Description
Mixed Renaissance and Romanesque. 2-storey, piended roofs, ashalr front, raised central pedimented section with channelled pilasters, triple centre window with stilted arches, 1 window either side; ground floor shop, rubble flank to Glebe Street.

The building held the first lending library in Falkirk. The library was funded by Robert Dollar who donated £5,000 towards the purchase of books on the condition that the library would be of free access and open to all classes and denominations. It opened in 1888 and remained the town's library until 1902.
