A bronze bust of Tommy Douglas was placed in the visitor centre in 2016. It was created by the artist Walter Awlson and cast at the Powderhall Foundry. Tommy Douglas was born in Camelon and became the Premier of Saskatchewan in Canada from 1944 to 1961, introducing free medical care.
