Description
Steel bridge over the Bonny Water at Bonnybridge dating to 1887 and constructed by the local blacksmith David Gillies & Son.
It consisted of two 35ft long iron beams with a load bearing capacity of 1 ton supported on side rails composed of lattice work. Originally the bottom was laid with 3ft wide wrought iron chequered plates and there was a rise of 6 inches to the centre. The sides tied into masonry walls 3ft tall.
Demolished and replaced 2017.

A similar bridge was constructed by the firm at Seamores in 1888. The Ford bridge was paved in cement in 1934. The bridge was dismantled and replaced in 2017 with an opening ceremony in April.
